The Transit Project

I'm a huge fan of alternate transportation, including riding my bike, walking and taking transit. Not only is it better for the planet, but it also connects people, for better or worse, to each other. I love looking at people during my commute and wonder what puts them on that bus or train. Where are they going? Where did they come from?

That's why I was inspired to do was to create a transit themed mural, or series of murals, where I feature my fellow transit users. Some of these folks are waiting for a bus or train, while some are actually riding. Some of these are out of my head and some are real transit users.

Happy Birthday To My Wife

When you look but can’t find the right birthday card, make your own. Right?

My wife always shares pics with me, of folks swimming with sharks and how awesome she thinks that is. Coincidentally, because I always require a constant flow of air to my face while in the car, she calls me a shark.

So, I had to draw her as a robot, swimming with a shark. Happy Birthday Wendy.

Bike Fink Art 2019

It's a new year, but I wanted to keep sharing some sketch concepts that I've started last year. One of those was my Bike Fink Project, which is a tribute series to Ed “Big Daddy” Roth, the king of RatFink. However, instead of cars, I wanted to ‘fink’ out the different bike tribes. Big, crazy heads, small bodies (and bikes), in some extreme pose. As you can see, I started that way, got a bit soft, then went back to strong 'fink'.

Happy New Year

First sketch for 2020. I know the year of the rat doesn't start until later this month, but I felt it was an appropriate way to start the year—especially as a robot/cyborg version.
